My New Blog!

This is just for fun stuff but if you're at all interested you can check out www.aspenacre.tumblr.com to see things I'm up to. Baking stuff, Crafty projects,

I'll start posting more personal stuff here again for the three of you who I know still use Livejournal. That would be Powas, Kathleen, and Amelia. Get Excited folks! I mentioned your name in a post!

Right now nothing crazy is happening with me. I'm going to a concert tomorrow. Seeing Big D and the Kid's table at the Paradise rock club. Out of the three concerts I wanted to see this month at that venue I decided on Big D.
1) As a surprise for Adrian
2) Because I hope they surprise me and that Brain Failure performs with them.

Work is about to get crazy busy and I'll be working 14 hour days for the next 2 months...looking more and more haggard as time goes by. At least it all helps people give to charity so that's something :). That's all I have for you folks today. Have a great Halloween weekend!

Updates

Work - It's getting to the time of year I love! People giving to charity and being awesome. It can be stressful the last two months of the year but I like being busy. I want to be particularly busy because I'm finding the higher I get the less work there is to do especially since I'm great at getting all my work done by 11 AM then dealing with one offs for the rest of the day.

Apartment - Is SUUUUUUper messy so I'm cleaning today. I think I'm giving up on decorating since I'm moving in less than a year. I have lots of little inspiration pics for the new place though and Adrian will really have to start to love my girly decorating sense.

Family - Mom is going to New Orleans to see her other two kids for Christmas. This is my first holiday without immediate family. I'm excited to have my first grown up holiday in my own place though. I want to take Tommy and Heather to the Medieval Manor the week of to see them and do something awesome with just the four of us.

That's it for now. You can follow some of my randomness at www.aspenacre.tumblr.com if you want. It's just a lot of bakin

Lyrics to The Chain :

The sky looks pissed
The wind talks back
My bones are shifting in my skin
And you my love are gone

My room seems wrong
The bed won't fit
I cannot seem to operate
And you my love are gone

[CHORUS]
So glide away on soapy heels
And promise not to promise anymore
And if you come around again
Then I will take, then I will take the chain from off the door

I'll never say I'll never love
But I don't say a lot of things
And you my love are gone

[CHORUS]
The sky looks pissed
The wind talks back
My bones are shifting in my skin
And you my love are gone

My room seems wrong
The bed won't fit
I cannot seem to operate
And you my love are gone

So glide away on soapy heels
And promise not to promise anymore
And if you come around again
Then I will take, then I will take the chain from off the door

I'll never say I'll never love
But I don't say a lot of things
And you my love are gone

So glide away on soapy heels
And promise not to promise anymore
And if you come around again
Then I will take, then I will take the chain from off the door

I'll see you back in the real world

I would become a flight attendant if I werent so scared of heights.

My shift key never works when I want to be gramatically correct.

At 23, is it too late to become a punk rock queen?
I made the best turkey ever yesterday!!! I basted that thing every 2 minutes on the nose and it came out perfect. I also made creamed onions, Sausage stuffing Wild rice, pumpkin and pecan pies. Everything was great except for my pecan pie which was diasastorous because I used a Graham Cracker crust.

In other news, I've read two books this year that I'm going to highly recommend. "The Well and the Mine" by Gin Phillips and "The Birth House" by Ami Mckay. Both are fabulous and you should read them. Still living in Brighton and loving it too. I'm going Christmas shopping this weekend then I'm decorating. I also need to throw a haircut and my high school reunion in there somewhere.

5 years since I graduated. I'm assuming not much has changed with most of these people but I kind of want to see what's what. I'm a gossip fiend!

Hope all the livejournal peeps are still well :)

I'm kind of gone rihgt now and I agree....Scent of a woman is a great fucking movie. Who uses livejournal anymore? I feel kind of dorky right now, but I still check it every now and then.

Getting a cold

I can't wait to just go home, bundle up and play Spyro.

What I talk about at work

Robertson, Adrian OOOH! And! New Nightmare on Elm Street teaser!
Walsh, Bridget (... I don't know they don't have the same guy as Freddy. It just won't be as scary or something
Robertson, Adrian Do you know who its going to be???
Walsh, Bridget (... no who?
Robertson, Adrian Jackie Earle Haley.
Walsh, Bridget (... Oh........well he is a scary little man. I don't see him haunting my dreams though
Robertson, Adrian Trust me.
Robertson, Adrian You only get to see his face for a split second but he seems like he could be MUCH scarier then regular freddy.
Robertson, Adrian Much more mostrous looking.
Robertson, Adrian Like instead of just having red blotchy skin, they make him look like his feauters were burned off and the voice...
Robertson, Adrian The voice dude...
Walsh, Bridget (... alright then it might be worth seeing
Walsh, Bridget (... :)
Walsh, Bridget (... I want to dive into that cultural history of horror book that Rob lent me
Walsh, Bridget (... see if they say anything about the 80s horror flicks
Walsh, Bridget (... Freddy and Jason and Chucky and Gremlins and junk
Walsh, Bridget (... the 80s were a really good time for campy horror
Robertson, Adrian Yeah they were.
Robertson, Adrian And that whole genre was sort of created by the bad drive in monster movies of the 60s.
Walsh, Bridget (... yeah the 90s and 00s kind of suck. Just a bunch of remakes
Robertson, Adrian Hey now.
Robertson, Adrian There were a lot of decent horror flicks to come out.
Walsh, Bridget (... c'mon you're so net even going to argue that point.
Walsh, Bridget (... !
Robertson, Adrian The final destination series was just as good as any of the 80s horror movies and it was an original idea.
Walsh, Bridget (... the were either classic horror movies like the mist or halloween just re-done, or they were Japanese remakes. I can't speak to the final destination movies since I've never seen them, but I'm saying overall it's the decade of the horror re-make
Walsh, Bridget (... and I don't know why I just made remake into a hyphenate, but my point is made!
Robertson, Adrian hahahahaha
Walsh, Bridget (... love you :)

Leesam is coming over tonight to eat french bread pizza and watch old seasons of the office to get him caught up. This should be awesome. I love my new place.
I'm getting so excited about my move it's not even funny. it's sort of like my life is finally starting. This is the fall/winter for my business plans and hopefully within two years I'm moving out of Allston to Salem to open my first business. When I finally start making money I want to take that step and travel a bunch.

It's good to have a plan and someone who supports it and you. I'm just really happy and have been for the past few years. And I'm excited for all the great stuff coming up; hell I'm even excited about my damn high school reunion. It's gonna be a really good year.
